Debra's Gallery

Debra Minkove

Growing up in Seattle, Debra Minkove was exposed to the arts at an early age. Her mother introduced her to the power of paints and her father, the love of music. Debra’s earliest memories include painting, listening to records and dancing. From finger-paint, to watercolor, to oils on canvas, she began winning awards at a young age. The love of the arts has endured and expanded to include fashion design, jewelry and most recently, acting and singing!

After attending the University of Washington for art and graphic design, Debra attended the New York Fashion Academy for sewing and illustration, then entered the Apparel Design Program at Seattle Central College, graduating with a Bachelor in Fine Arts degree. Following internships in London for Virgin Clothing and jobs in Southern California with various clothing lines from surf labels to high end fashion, Debra returned to Seattle to launch her own company, All The While. All The While, combines her three loves ~ painting, clothing and jewelry. Inspired by the ocean, a gypsy lifestyle, and rock and roll, Debra combines these inspirations to create an eclectic, yet cohesive, feeling of peace and love. Her jewelry designs and creations are showcased in boutiques, bazaars and online.

Debra works with acrylic on canvas, from miniature to monumental. There are no limits. She employs different layering techniques, collage, encaustic and resin epoxy on wood panels, driftwood and other unexpected surfaces. Found objects are often incorporated within, or as a foundation for her work. She also creates commissioned pieces specific to the individual buyer, for their home, vacation place or the office. Her paintings have been showcased in galleries and commercial spaces throughout the Northwest.
